Stabilization Service Process & Consultation
In this section we outline our process to facilitate the stabilization of lumber you provide. Please read it in its entirety prior to contacting us for your consultation.
What's Included -Â All stabilization orders include drying, stabilization with a guarenteed percentage of weight gain based on our consultation, and basic rough (80grit) sanding to remove excess resin and debris from processing.Â
Optional Services - Bark Removal from live edges. Cutting services Pre/Post Stabilization, Finish sanding up to 600 Grit, Sprayed Polyurethane finishing. Product photos/Videos.Â
Upcharges -Â Certain species and situations will have special upcharges. These can include excessvily wet or green cut timber (Over 25% MC). Oily and exotic lumbers. As well as XL and irregular sizes.Â
Pricing - Stabilization service pricing is based on the completed, outbound shipping weight of your entire order. We have 3 pricing tiers listed in our Stabilization Services Collection.  An Example order - John Doe Sends us 15 pounds of Maple Burl to be stabilized in in clear, undyed resin. Once stabilization is complete, Johns Maple Burl now weights 23 Pounds. John's bill would be 23 pounds x $12 = $276+ Shipping.Â
Maximum Dimentions - Our maximum Dimentions are based on our current equipment and fall into multiple catagories.
Standard stock - 6.5" x 6.5" x 5.5"
Spindle stock -1.85" x 1.85" x 30"
XL Sizes
XL Square stock - 8" x 8" x 24"
XL Round Stock - 10.5" Diameter x 24"
Requests for larger pieces can be discussed in consultation.Â
Lead Times -Â Lead times are generally a minimum of 4-6 weeks and will vary wildly based on our current work load. We will discuss your lead time estimate during your consultation.Â
